Contact office of support services at post-secondary school.
Student must disclose their disability to office personnel.
Get neuropsychological evaluation and share report with school. Except for Butler County Community College, most post-secondary schools will not accept high school paperwork, like Neuropsychological Evaluations, Re-evaluation reports, IEPs or 504 Service Agreements.
OVR may be able to assist with neuropsychological evaluation.
Notifying Post-Secondary Institutions
The office of support services will provide a letter or document verifying eligibility for accommodations.
Student should approach teacher in person or via email to share their accommodations.

“Get Ready for College: A Resource for Teens with Disabilities” is a free online course offered by the Center on Transition Innovations from Virginia Commonwealth University. It is a 20-hour, self-paced course that students can complete at home. The syllabus, accessed HERE, outlines the 8 lessons as well as the course objectives.
